|
Title: Gas Originator
Location: Houston
Summary:
Originates, structures and negotiates wholesale gas term deals. The role will be responsible for developing future opportunities as well as the management of existing customers.
- Understands and communicates pricing fundamentals and dynamics for Gulf Coast region.
- Coordinates with other Company affiliates.
- Assures that contracts are executed in a timely manner, and appropriate accounting procedures are developed and implemented as necessary.
- Increase the financial transaction business through the use of futures and financial tools.
- Meet or exceed annual gross margin targets through structured term contracts Development of innovative hedging approaches to structured transactions with customers
- Ensures that the term portfolio physical position is balanced
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 7 years experience negotiating deals.
- Strong knowledge of the Gulf Coast natural gas pipeline grid.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience with Gas Storage.
- Strong analytical and marketing skills.
- Ability to structure complex agreements covering sales and supply, agency arrangements, and strategic alliances.
- Knowledge of risk management, financial tools (futures and derivatives), pricing and modeling.
- Must be a self starter with ability to communicate regularly and effectively and have the desire to expand upon an existing business and develop their own role within the organization.
- Must also possess strong writing and speaking skills. Strong Customer focus, with the ability to interface effectively with external organizations and customers, and senior management.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.
